Thinking about starting a business as an Internet managed service provider? Or does your company want greater control over its Internet presence rather than relying on outside services and providers?
For more than three decades, Deltronix Enterprises has designed, built, and operated Internet infrastructure using a combination of servers, networking equipment, security systems, and proven software. We can provide a similar turnkey infrastructure for your organization—either as the foundation for your own managed service business or as a way to bring control of your company’s Internet presence in-house.

The Deltronix solution includes the server hardware, software, networking, security, and remote management equipment necessary to build and operate your own Internet infrastructure. The system can be configured to provide:
The result is an Internet infrastructure that you own, administer, and control. Rather than relying on a different outside provider for each service, your organization has the hardware, software, security systems, and management tools needed to operate its own Internet presence.
This is not a theoretical collection of equipment and software. The architecture offered by Deltronix is based on the same general design and technologies we have used to operate our own Internet infrastructure for many years.
Microsoft Hyper-V provides the virtualization platform for Windows and Ubuntu servers and workstations. Public DNS servers direct Internet requests to the appropriate services. Apache web servers receive and process website requests, while the email infrastructure handles inbound and outbound mail through a dedicated security and filtering appliance.
Management software provides remote administration of the servers. When direct hardware access is required, KVM equipment provides console access to the physical machines. Remote power equipment allows you to restart or power-cycle hardware when necessary—even when no one is physically present at the facility.
Virtual machines are backed up periodically to provide an additional layer of protection for the system and its data.
The system can be installed in a co-location cabinet at a data center, housed at your company location, or distributed between multiple physical locations. A multi-location configuration provides additional physical separation, redundancy, and security.
The system is delivered as a functional, configured infrastructure ready to be connected to your designated public IP addresses and placed into service.
Deltronix configures the system using hardware, software, and configurations that we have used successfully in our own Internet operations for many years. Additional instruction can be provided to help your technical staff understand and manage the environment.
The objective is not simply to deliver a collection of servers. It is to deliver a working infrastructure in which the individual components are configured to operate together as an Internet service platform.
For someone establishing an Internet managed service provider, this infrastructure can serve as the foundation for offering services to your own customers. With the appropriate registrar and reseller arrangements, you can manage domain registrations and DNS for your customers and use the infrastructure to host their websites, databases, email, files, and other Internet services.
The same architecture can also be used internally by an established company that wants to reduce its dependence on outside providers and maintain direct control over its Internet infrastructure.
The system described here reflects the infrastructure Deltronix runs every day.
As you view this website, your computer was directed to the appropriate Deltronix web server by our DNS, using a domain name registered and managed through our own registrar reseller account—the same type of arrangement your operation can use to manage domains for your customers. Our email addresses are resolved the same way, and messages pass through our email security and filtering appliance before reaching our mail servers and, finally, a desktop email client or webmail.
Your administrators have access to the systems, configurations, and logs supporting the environment. Changes and maintenance can be performed directly rather than waiting for an outside provider to diagnose a problem, open a support ticket, or make the required change.
You control the infrastructure, the configuration, and the services running on it.
This is not a low-cost hosting package or an off-the-shelf server purchase. A complete, redundant Internet infrastructure requires substantial hardware, software, configuration, networking, security, and technical planning.
Base setup and configuration starts at $60,000 and includes hardware and software as quoted.
The starting price establishes the general level of investment required for this type of system. A formal quotation will be provided for your specific requirements and can address the final hardware configuration, software, redundancy, storage, networking, deployment location, and other project needs.
The purpose of this system is to remove your dependence on outside providers—including Deltronix. If you would prefer an ongoing maintenance or monitoring arrangement, that can be worked out as part of your quotation.
If you have the technical knowledge, the need, and the desire to control your own Internet infrastructure, Deltronix can help you build a system based on an architecture proven in our own operations.
